VISION:  To unite leaders from the Business, Government and Faith-Based sectors to transform the San Diego Region.

The premier indicator of regional transformation is the elimination of systemic poverty and the corruption that drives it. Four types of poverty: spiritual poverty, motivational poverty, material poverty, relational poverty.

A RELATIONAL NETWORK

Unite San Diego is a relational network because effective collaboration flows out of relationship. Servant leaders must be together in the same room with right hearts toward one another for collaboration to be possible. Effective collaboration depends on a positive relationship with mutual respect and trust.

ORGANIZATIONAL SERVANT LEADERS

Unite San Diego is composed of organizational servant leaders who’s heart and core values motivate others to succeed. At the top of the tree are the branches, but it’s the trunk that supports the tree. In other words, it’s the servant leaders job to support those whom they serve. We are servant leaders who seek to do what is right, without complaining and disputing, even when everything is going the wrong way.

PRIMARY COMPONENTS OF LIFE

These three spheres represent the primary components of community life and affect everything we do, therefore it is important to have greater interaction between them.  It takes intentionality and mutual respect and no one of these groups can make a great city alone.  Each group is distinct and all are interdependent.  We need to work together for the success of each of the other groups.  This is the essence of servant leadership.

It is therefore imperative that organizational leaders in these spheres operate as servant leaders representing the concerns of all their constituents.  They must be impartial and full of integrity to their core convictions and be able to discern between good and evil.  “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.  ~ Edmund Burke

INTENTIONAL

Unite San Diego is intentional because organizational servant leaders usually have more on their plate then is possible to achieve and without intentionality we will not accomplish the lofty goals of the organization.

COLLABORATIVE

Unite San Diego is collaborative because this type of working relationship is the highest and most productive form of executive leadership to solve regional and systemic problems. Collaboration begins with the heart then moves to the mind and to the hands. In order for collaboration to be successful, we need to form a culture of collaboration within our organizations before we set out to do what we will do together.

SAN DIEGO REGION

The San Diego Region covers all of San Diego County, includes 18 incorporated cities and has a total 2010 population of 3,095,313 making it the fifth most populist county in the United States.

Unite San Diego exists to make RIGHT that which was wrong thereby releasing peace and joy across the region
